Vice-President of Sales

Company
Our client was a venture capital backed start-up developing innovative tools for minimally invasive spinal surgery.

Situation
The company planned to commercialize its initial product and needed to recruit its first Vice-President of Sales to refine the sales strategy, build a sales team, and manage the group to achieve sales targets.

Process
Travis & Company met with the CEO and all of his direct reports. We developed a solid understanding of the company’s business, its culture, and the personalities of the key players. In addition, we gained deeper knowledge of the position and what the CEO wanted in candidates.

Outcome
We conducted a national search and presented a strong set of finalists. The winning candidate was a sales leader with a large medical device company. He relocated to take the position.
